Over the last 6 months we observed that Canadian emails sent from the Dialog Insight platform show mobile open rates higher than desktop open rates. Have you observed such a trend within your industry? Are your mobile adaptation efforts worth all the work? Not surprisingly, the top 3 industries that increased the average of email mobile open rates for May 2016 are:

  • Media and content distributors – 59.2%
  • Tourism, hotel and entertainment businesses – 55.1%
  • Retail trade businesses – 53.2%

Here’s the evolution of mobile open rates for each industry since the beginning of 2016.

As you can see, almost all industries are close or over the 50% mark of mobile open rates to reach an average of 53.4% in May.
