Desjardins Online Brokerage offers several training and information sessions through a specialized event management site. When they approached Dialog Insight to realize their event management and personalized email interface, they had several goals in mind:

The project started with the implementation of an online event management center. This user-friendly interface offers an easy and efficient way for organizers to enter events, and for users to search for and register to events. It also offers various filters to make it easier to find an event in the calendar.

Registration forms are available by clicking on the selected event and registrations are entirely automated and processed through Dialog Insight’s platform.
People registered to events are automatically integrated in Desjardins Online Brokerage’s main database, where automated confirmation and reminder messages are sent from.
The registration process allows participants to also subscribe to alerts for events to come, and to various communications from Desjardins Online Brokerage.
Users can choose which events they want to be notified of by email using various criteria:
Type of event
Distance from user’s location
Then, through an automated task, alerts are sent once a week to all Desjardins Online Brokerage contacts who have subscribed to such alerts. Each message is dynamic and includes only the events that match each user’s preferences.
Desjardins Online Brokerage’s emails have also been created with a responsive design as to display properly whether viewed on a mobile device, a tablet or a computer, thus always offering a top-notch user experience.
An advanced personalization experience
Event related emails can be extremely personalized. There are as many possibilities as there are subscribers. The alert message is offered in two formats, with a single event or multiple ones. The challenge here was to display events in emails based on both the event’s particulars and the subscriber’s preferences. Each event can therefore be displayed very differently, depending on whether there is one or more speakers, a picture or none, one or more dates available, fees, etc.
