At Dialog Insight, we know that segmentation is at the core of every marketing campaign. However, creating precise and actionable segments can sometimes be complex, time-consuming, and prone to errors.

For these reasons, our product team has worked hard to deliver a more intuitive experience that helps marketing teams work more independently on a daily basis.

With more advanced and flexible features, you can now refine your targeting more easily while saving valuable time.

A modernized segmentation tool

The new Groups editor delivers an intuitive, simple, and efficient experience. Key improvements include:

  • More precise and flexible targeting conditions

  • A clearer, more intuitive, and easier-to-use editor

  • A single editor, eliminating the distinction between simple and advanced editors

  • Targeting conditions grouped by category for improved readability and faster understanding

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I switch back to the previous editor after testing the new one?

Yes. During the transition period, you can switch back to the old editor at any time. The goal is to allow you to test the new editor at your own pace.

What impact does the new editor have on my existing groups?

Your existing segments are neither modified nor automatically converted to the new editor. You decide if and when you want to convert them.

What do you mean by “more flexible”?

The new editor includes several improvements that make it easier to refine your targeting.

Among these improvements, we’ve added the concept of a multi-select field, allowing you to select multiple values within a single condition without adding multiple lines to create “OR” logic.

You can also now copy and paste a list of values.

For more details on all improvements, please refer to the support portal.

Are there keyboard shortcuts in the new editor?

Yes. You can now:

  • undo an action using Cmd/Ctrl + Z
  • redo an action using Cmd/Ctrl + Y

Are more improvements planned for the new editor?

Yes. We’re currently working on an AI feature that will allow you to create groups using natural language, so you can build segments even faster.
